Start Healthcare: Bridging the Healthcare Gap in Rural India
Transforming Healthcare Accessibility in Rural India
Start Healthcare, through our wholly-owned subsidiary, Start Health India Ltd., is committed to providing healthcare to the 840 million rural inhabitants of India who are currently underserved by traditional healthcare systems. Our mission is to provide the rural village population a physical link to access the healthcare services located in urban centres.
The Challenge:
Limited Healthcare Access in Rural India
Approximately 840 million people in rural India have limited or no access to basic healthcare. Nearly 86% of all medical visits in rural India require patients to travel over 100 km to see a doctor.
Start-Health India is going to change this landscape by bringing healthcare workers directly to the home. Trained to assess and evaluate patients immediate and on-going needs, our Village Health Co-ordinators will assist the patients in the management of long term issues and link directly to an online Tele-Doctor for immediate care.
We uphold the principle of healthcare for all, ensuring that every individual has access to fundamental wellness services. Our Village Health Coordinators will revolutionize the healthcare landscape in India, making top-tier healthcare providers accessible to all. Working within the Ayushman Bharat framework, we provide comprehensive healthcare services to every family member, delivered directly to their doorstep.
Ayushman Bharat: The World's Largest Healthcare Initiative

The Indian Healthcare Market: A Mix of Challenges
Healthcare in India is a mixed system of public and private service providers. While the private sector provides better quality care, it is more expensive and inaccessible to many. Our goal is to make quality healthcare accessible and affordable for all, regardless of their location or financial status.
Start Health India: The numbers
Upon graduation, the Village Healthcare Coordinators (VHC’s) will be employed by Start Health India using the “Ride-Share” Model. The company will control the branding, ensure quality of care, provide the billing portal and all accounting with the national healthcare service (Ayushman Bharat), and coordinate payments to the VHC’s. The company projects 24,000 trained workers in the field and cumulative revenue of $75 million USD equivalent by the end of 2026.
