About Us

Transforming Healthcare in Rural India

Start Healthcare, through our majority-owned subsidiary, Start Health India Ltd., is committed to providing healthcare to over 840 million Indian villagers who have been overlooked by the traditional healthcare system. We believe in healthcare inclusion, ensuring that everyone is entitled to basic wellness.

We strive to be committed to the students we are privileged to serve, our ongoing relationship with our trained Village Health Coordinators and our dedicated, talented faculty and staff. We also take pride in having the most active and helpful group of partners, visionary parents, well-wishers, advisors and friends.

Our Leadership Team

Our leadership team, led by co-Founders Ian Brodie and Madhu Sethi, along with Jiwan K. Jindal (COO Start Health India), brings together a wealth of experience in finance, technology, healthcare, and business strategy. Their collective vision and expertise are driving our vision of the transformation of rural healthcare in India.

Mission Statement

Our mission is to bridge the healthcare gap in rural India, where nearly 86% of all medical visits require patients to travel over 100 km to meet a doctor. We aim to bring healthcare services right to their homes, through the support of Ayushman Bharat.

Our Impact

We are not just a healthcare provider; we are a job creator. Start Health India is launching government-approved career opportunities for independent rural contractors to practice healthcare in their home village. We are set to become one of the largest creators of jobs and employers in the sector.

Our Partnerships

At Start Healthcare, we know that we can’t do this alone. In India we are forming partnerships with all levels of government.  We are working closely with agencies of  the Federal government and with State and local authorities to create jobs at the village and state level, and to deliver healthcare to the less advantaged regions in India.
